Fresh out of an early Maine estate collection.
Circa 1800's, American. Rare over-sized Pyrography (Burnt-Wood) art box. Measures approximatley 30" x 5" x 4". An amazing amount of work. Solid.
Probably
used for gloves or handkerchiefs. Has two latches in front, hinges on back. Notation as gift inside. In period condition, could probably use a polish/cleaning. Please see all photos as to type and condition.
