Bilston And Battersea Ltd Ed Enamel Haydn Vintage Rare Box.
"Joseph Haydn" portrait trinket box. This lovely box has a wonderful design in black on a golden brown background. The interior of the box reads Joseph Haydn 1732-1809 Prolific composer justly called The Father of the Symphony with a violin and music scroll. Marked on base "Bilston & Battersea Enamels, Made in England,  394". Part of the Great Classical Composer Series of five composers; Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Haydn and Handel produced in the early 1970’s.
This box is number 394 in a limited edition of 1,000, with 300 of these pieces imported to the U.S. sold through Cartier.
This fabulous little box is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Hinge is a little stiff but works perfectly.
