c.1890 Tramp Art Carved Box w/ Many Wonderful Brass Mounts - Hidden Lid Seam

An exceptional and rare 1890's Tramp Art Box in
repeated
carved cubes. The box is
embellished
with many detailed, high quality brass mounts.
Lovely age patina.
The interior compartment is papered and has a small built-in tray.
Note the very clever hidden lid seam - need the lion pills to open.
The condition is very good to excellent
. The finish is excellent w/ some age crazing, and the carving without damage except for one chipped cube that I could find.
Size of the piece is 10 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" deep x 5" tall.
