  • Condition: Good-Very Good overall antique cond: Incredibly bright, vivid, crisp, saturated sidewall stamped blue ink period typography & the partial remnants of a wonderful front short sidewall orig paper label. All orig & absolutely untouched. It was never lacquered & still has its orig dry, matte wood patina. The orig paper label is affected principally along its bottom edge but is still largely intact & fortunately still present & largely as it was orig constituted. This is an earlier wood box advertising soap crate, in that it has nailed corners, which seemed to precede finger-joined corners as corner fastening techniques. The wood box crate has all wood construction, a wood plank floor & stylized, period sidewall graphic iconography in nearly undiminished blue ink on both long sidewalls. The paper label is in deep Prussian blue & creamy white font. This highly perfumed White Prussian Soap wood box crate was made for the Fisk Manufacturing Co. of Springfield, MA. Handsome. 100% untouched.
