I was immediately captured by the beauty, detail, vibrant colors, and precise placement of the crystals in this piece.
The boxing ring shows the unlimited imagination of Ms. Kopal.
The “ropes” are made of four 925 silver chain link with lobster clasps on each end which latch onto the four support poles, making the “corners” a boxer will retreat.
The boxers are held in place by magnets on the bottom of the feet of each with corresponding magnets strategically placed in the ring.
The frogs themselves are the actual trinket boxes, with a magnetic enclosure.
They are beautifully crafted with the most striking, vibrant colors.
The detail and thoughtful placement of the crystals really make the pieces “pop”.
There are green crystals on the feet and larger green crystal eyes. The red and blue crystal boxing gloves are striking.
The poses of each boxer is realistic.
There were only 250 of these boxers made.
On the bottom of the boxing ring has the actual numbered edition of this piece.
I have looked at, purchased, and handled many different knock-offs of the Fabergé brand.
There are many companies who have been inspired by the beauty of the Fabergé products.
I believe the Keren Kopal Collection is the closest to the real thing that I have seen.
The weight, the attention to detail, the durability, makes her collection superior in my mind.
I have purchased other brands and have found they may appear the same, but over time, they lose their “luster”.
The crystals fall out, the gold or silver tarnish, telling me they are not the real thing, the enamel coating comes off eventually, the detail, at first glance, may seem perfect, but when it is “in hand”, you can see the difference.
I have seen the real thing in person, held modern Fabergé reproductions from the actual House of Fabergé in various stores across Europe and the United States, and believe Keren Kopal has captured the essence of the real thing better than just about anyone around.
In my personal opinion, any Keren Kopal piece is worthy of and will stand the test of time to become a treasured family heirloom to be passed from generation to generation.
    THE STORY:
In 1885, the Czar Alexander III of Russia wanted to surprise his much beloved wife with a unique gift for their 20
    th
wedding anniversary, which also happened to fall on the Easter celebration.
He had heard of Peter Carl Fabergé, of French descent, and requested something beautiful, something unique in all the world, and something that would convey his ever-new love for his czarina.
He suggested some type of egg because of an egg sculpture owned by her aunt in Denmark.
The result was what looked like a plain while ceramic egg.
But this was no ordinary egg.
There was a wonderful surprise inside.
When the egg was opened, the inside was of gold, with an indention holding a golden yolk.
Once you “cracked” open the yolk, it revealed a multifaceted golden hen.
The hen, in turn, revealed another surprise, a small diamond carved in the image of the imperial crown.
From this pendant, a ruby pendant hung.
Unfortunately for the rest of us, the hen and diamond crown are no longer to be found.
But the egg and yolk exist to the wonder of all who see it.
This started a tradition by the Czar who ordered a new egg every year for his bride.
He died on November 1, 1894, to be seceded by and was carried on by his son, Nicholas II who commissioned a new egg every year thereafter for his mother and his wife.
Many have carried on the tradition and inspiration of this great love story and the exquisite works of art through the years.
Having seen the original eggs and become enamored with their beauty and artistry, art collector and antique collector, Keren Kopal determined to create lasting works of art with the beauty, grace, same attention to detail as the original Fabergé factory in Russia.
The Keren Kopal Collection was opened in 2003 employing some of the finest artisans using handpicked Austrian/Swarovski crystal and plated with 24K gold or 925 silver.
Each piece, be it pendant, trinket box, animated sculpture is lovingly and individually created by hand.
The crystals are examined for flaws before being chosen to be placed “just so” on each piece.
Each and every sculpture is painted by hand with a process unique to this “factory”.
This is not a factory in the sense things are created by machine.
This is a factory of handmade artistic pieces of great beauty and style.
Every Keren Kopal piece of art comes with a certificate of authenticity and sure to become a family heirloom.
I accept PayPal as payment and the necklace will be shipped out within three days of receiving payment.
I will be listing more jewelry in the coming weeks and months and some other very beautiful and high quality enameled boxes made in the order of the Fabergé egg from one of his artisans who opened a shop in Israel.
    So keep looking back.
There will be necklaces, egg pendants, egg boxes, and other surprises that I know you will love.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my listing.
eBay Sales Tax Collection Policy as of January 1, 2019:
As of January 1, 2019, certain states have changed their sales tax laws requiring all items purchased by residents of that state be subject to a sales tax.  Currently, there are only a few states where this applies but more states will likely "jump on the bandwagon" as this becomes a popular source of state revenue.
Per eBay:  "Based on applicable tax laws, eBay will calculate, collect, and remit sales tax on behalf of sellers for items shipped to customers in the affected states."
"When a buyer purchases an item on eBay, and the ship to address is one of the affected states, eBay will calculate and add the applicable sales tax at checkout. The buyer will pay both the cost of the item along with the sales tax. eBay will collect and remit the tax."
Please note, this is not something the seller has any control over. EBay is forced to comply with both state and federal regulations and tax laws, even if they do not agree with them. If a seller wishes to conduct business through eBay, the seller has no choice, nor say in the matter. The applicable sales tax will be added automatically and cannot be changed by the buyer nor by the seller.
