    Description

This whimsical box is the Limoges interpretation of the nursery rhyme : "There was an old woman who lived in a shoe; She had so many children she didn't know what to do ..." with a lady mouse and her mice offspring.  The colorful blue shoe has a mauve toe and insert, 22KT gold laces and bow and detailing, a yellow thatched roof, a red chimney, and a nest on the roof with a bluebird in it.  The old lady is standing in the doorway with a baby and a little mouse, while two mice are climbing on the overhang, four are peering out the upstairs window, and two are in the dormer window.  A mouse is the clasp.  It is 1.25" by 2.4" with a height of 2.7".  On the bottom is: "Peint Main - Limoges France."
