  • Condition: Very Good-Excellent overall orig vint cond: Just a fabulous, early piece of American advertising in the form of a paper labeled wood box crate. There are labels & then there are labels. This particular paper label is superlative, in that it's nearly intact, w/only the slightest paper loss around its edges. The 2 long sidewalls, as well as the short back sidewall are plain & without stamped ink graphic iconography. The crate is constructed of all wood & features a wood plank floor. It's corners are nailed together & not finger-joined, meaning it's an earlier wood box crate, since nailed construction preceded finger-joined corner construction, followed by nailed corners after that. But all the action on this box is on the front sidewall, w/what would have to be considered to be an award-winning paper label that has great, nearly unblemished graphic iconography, largely undisturbed by moisture & only exhibiting the slightest episodes of staining. Great box, great label & in great shape.
