    Description

For sale is a cool early 20th c.  Makah twine wrapped liquor flask / bottle with cork stopper.
The bottle is decorated with dyed strands which are faded.
It is made from dyed bear grass with cedar bark.
This bottles incorporates the wrapped twines technique which is able to produce small, delicate, finely tuned work such as this example.
There is a wonderful patina to this old bottle.
The measurements are 8 1/2 " H and a width of 3 1/4".  The weaving is in very good condition with expected wear and minor material loss on the bottom as shown in photo.
