    Description

    This a beautiful piece that show superb artistry and craftsmanship. It is very old but has still maintained it’s structure and functionality. None of the palm leaves are missing. There is an area on the inside where ia wide palm is only connected at the top with palm leaf stitching. However, it looks to be the way it is made, there is no evidence of it having ever been stitched down the sides or across the bottom. Thisvhanging basket design is a marriage of sewing and weaving. There are a few water spots but overall it is in good condition. The best way to know this piece is through examination of the photos. Please view all photos as they are part of the description.
