Northwest Native American Basket With Lid MAKAH Hand Woven Pictorial Polychrome With Butterflies.
Handmade fine craftsmanship.
Made of all natural plant material.
Unsigned.
6 1/4” W x 2 7/8” H.
Very condition.  No rips, tears or dirt stains.
Provenance:  “Sisters Of The Blessed Sacrament Motherhouse Property, Bensalem,  Pennsylvania. A Roman Catholic order of nuns founded by Saint Katherine Drexel in 1891.  Saint Katherine Drexel used her own family funds to create and direct mission schools and churches for Native and African Americans. Drexel’s ministries provided a quality education to minorities.  She was canonized in 2000.”
