    Description

Papago Indian Hand Coiled Woven Bowl Basket Geometric Designs Bear Grass Yucca. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This basket was made by the Tohono O’odham, also called Papago, a tribe of North American Native Americans who inhabit the desert regions of Arizona. This intricate basket was an estate find.
Handwoven by a Tohono O'odham weaver, this basket displays a geometrical diamond pattern in browns and oranges, and is made with sun-dried yucca and beargrass, with a dark strip intertwined along the entire rim of the basket.
This unique work of art measures approximately 8.25" wide and 4" deep. It is tightly coiled and in very good preowned condition. There is some slight fraying (see photos) but it doesn’t detract from the beauty of the piece. Please see photos as they are part of the description.
