    Description

    Very nice Sansui 9090 that I have used for many years.  Repaired by Classic Audio here in San Diego to make suitable for sale on Ebay.  Noisy transistors on differential amplifier circuit of main audio power amplifier replaced.  All switches and controls treated with deoxit. Checked fuesable resistors - previously replaced. Replace burned out meter lamps.  Resoldered lamp sockets on dial lamps to restore luminance. Aux and phono output lamps out due to loss of supply voltage.  This is a common failure and the main wafer for the dial and meter has been bypassed.  Only cure is a good used input selector switch.  Measured 120watts per channel / continuous output into 8 ohms.  All major functions verified.
    Unit is clean without a scratch on front panel.  Cabinet is fair with some slight delamination of veneer on top.  See photos.  You can buy a new case from Holzkiste Cabinet in Berlin.  They list them on ebay where they are sold by eternal-audio
    The 9090 has no equal. It has a "presence" unmatched by today's receivers.  Power, accuracy, balance, musicality...you cannot do better.
