Excellent preowned condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. The platinum trim has one small area of wear (see photo), otherwise excellent condition.
Charming porcelain trinket box that was made in Japan in 1974. Designed with a patriotic theme, the lid features the words, “It’s a Grand Old Day for Being Happy”. Hollie and her friends march between the words holding an American flag, while beating on a drum and playing a flute.  Reminiscent of the Revolutionary War drawings in history books. Bottom of the piece is marked with the Holly Hobbie stamp including the date of manufacture, 1974.  This dainty 47-year-old piece has weathered the years fabulously.
With the lid on, this trinket box measures approximately 2.25” H x 3” L x 2.25” D and features a four-footed base and a domed lid with platinum trim. Please see photos as they are part of the description.
