    This very nice
    vintage 1930's-1940's
    Mt. Kinocti
    Bartlett
    pear wooden box crate
features a front sidewall affixed paper label of a fertile landscape, with a Native American Chief in front of a Native encampment by a river to the right raising his arms, as if thanking the Great Spirit which gives the life-sustaining light of the sun and therefore responsible for the natural fruit bounty in the box. The box features all wood construction, with the bottom wood boards being slightly thinner than the plank wood sidewalls. The long sidewalls feature great stamped blue ink graphic iconography that says
    'Lake County Mountain Bartletts.'
    The box is from the
    'Lake County Fruit Exchange'
of Kelseyville, California. The wood crate held 4/5ths of a bushel of northern California Bartlett pears. The box has nailed sidewall and floor construction and remains sturdy and solid. Only the paper label, which still has great graphics and color, is slightly damaged on both lower corners with some minor paper loss.
The slight-less-than-perfect label condition demonstrates its vintage pedigree and the fact that it was previously handled and stacked on the backs of trucks and in warehouse refrigerated coolers. The label is glorious though and doesn't suffer from noticeable stains, moisture damage or image depreciation.
    Very handsome.

Good to Very Good overall vintage condition. The box remains solid and sturdy. Only the front sidewall paper label has some minor paper loss on both the right and left lower corners. The blue ink stamped long sidewalls are still clear and undiminished. Very nice paper label and additional blue ink graphic sidewall font and iconography make this vintage 1930's wooden box crate a winner.
