Description

The Achomawi live in north central California and produce some of California's nicest baskets. Similar to others up north they utilize a full twist overlay twining technique so the inside shows the design as well. Pedestal baskets gained prominence during the Victorian age (c.1860 -1915) then quickly fell out of favor around World War One. It is an EXCELLENT SIZE to display (especially if you are getting low on space) and it has NO RESERVE !
