Vintage Hardwood Handmade Red Velvet Lined Box.

Description

Vintage Handmade Red Velvet Lined Box. Appears to be hand carved (differences in grooves ob lid). Unknown Hardwood. Unstained. Unknown age. Non hand painted images on tiles. Lined with red velvet. Damages include a blue plant droplet (noted in pictures), stains on velvet (noted in pictures), nails securing hinges in place are loose but very solid. I didn’t want to attempt to repair the box with the possibility of damaging the box. The nails can be tapped back in with a metal punch and a light hammer. The paint could be gently scraped off or removed with a rotary tool scuff pad. The velvet should be easy to dry clean or possibly steam clean. The opens and closes with no problems. Bubble wrapped, 3 layers. Box stuffed with paper for secure delivery. The box is perfect for a jewelry box, an ornate coffee table box to store books, cigars, tv remotes ect... the box is large enough to store a full size pistol but there is no locking mechanism to secure any valuables or firearms. The Jewelry, Pistol, and book are NOT included in this purchase, and were props used for photos.
