Vintage Italian Hand Carved Burl Wood Inlay Banjo Motif, Music/Jewelry Box

Beautiful Vintage Hand Crafted music /jewelry box is constructed from an unique high gloss burl wood and features a banjo patterned inlay. The box sits on top of four small brass feet and the two-section interior is lined with soft red fabric. There is a small brass handle on the front of box for opening. The music box winds on the bottom. The box was my great Aunt’s and I don’t recognize the song, but others have thought it might be Love Story. The wood is in great condition. The music box works. There is a whining background noise when the song is winding down/finishing up and the wind up knob on the bottom is hard to turn and only winds a tiny bit. The music plays automatically when the box is open unless it is not wound. Dimensions: 5 1/2” x 3” x 2”. There are two sections inside. Music player side is 2 3/4” x 2 1/4”. The jewelry box side is small: approximately 2” x 2”. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
