    Description

    Vintage NATIVE AMERICAN Cherokee DYED SPLINT Miniature 6" Rectangle BASKET #1-  This is a very nicely made Cherokee dyed splint basket.  The shape and small size is wonderful  and is a great example of this type of classic basket- it is antique /vintage -perhaps from the 1960s-80s although we are not sure. There are natural splints and lightly dyed darker colored splints- a nice classic form.   Basket has a nice very lightly aged natural surface which is in good condition.    See all photos for your review of condition. Has a nice primitive country look. The basket measures approx 3.5" tall to rim and approx 5.5"-6" to top of handle.  It measures approx. 6"X3.5".   We are also listing another similar Cherokee Basket with Dyed Orange Splints.  This will make a nice addition to your Basket Collection .
