WWI Era US Army M1910 Haversack Pack w/Infantry Unit Markings - Khaki Color - Complete - Very Nice Condition
Up for sale is a WWII Era US Army M1910 Haversack Pack.  This pack is the early Khaki color.  It has an Infantry Unit Markings on the front. There are on visible manufacturer markings or dates.
The haversack is complete with all of the shoulder straps and the securing straps, buckles and snap hooks.  The haversack is used, see photo's for condition.    No rips or tears.  Some fading of color from age and prior usage.  Very Nice overall condition.
A very nice representative example that has that "Been There" look without any abuse or major damage
The Haversack was used from before WWI up through the middle of WWII as the standard pack system for the US Army.  Technically is is NOT a pack.  It is not fully enclosed like a pack, but rather wraps around the items to be stored.  This makes it able to accomodate a large or small number of items.  A pack tail was added to this system in order to accomodate longer items, such as a blanket.  There was also a "meat can pouch" that was added to the upper flap to secure the mess kit and utinsels for easy access.
This is a necesary item for any WWII Field Gear Collection.
