DESCRIPTION:
Offered is this very nice early-mid 20th century vintage
'Sunsweet Quality'
prune wood box crate, featuring black ink stamped graphic iconography on two wood sidewalls, nailed corner construction and a wood plank floor. The crate is in well preserved overall condition and the stamped ink is still readable, making this an especially nicely preserved vintage wooden box crate. The stamped graphic iconography has a great vintage look and a stylized style. The short sidewalls have numeric font, with the stamped numbers '40 / 50,' stamped 54524 (Wisconsin zip code) and also with NY stamped on the bottom. The graphics are clear and dynamic. The box hasn't been rinsed, otherwise touched or disturbed. It was only gently dusted off to remove dust and debris inside.
Two light colored shallow wood chips on top of the front wall.
There's a broken/missing horizontal wood plank on one side of the bottom.
It remains in 'as-found,' untouched, original vintage condition. Very nice.
